CWG PLC is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, optimize, and secure their enterprise database environment. This role involves ensuring database reliability, scalability, and integrity, supporting production systems, and collaborating with various teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience administering enterprise database environments.
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle Database.
- Proficiency in SQL/T-SQL, database design, performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing.
- Experience implementing High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions, including Always On Availability Groups, Replication, Log Shipping, Mirroring, and Failover Clustering.
- Experience with database backup, recovery, migration, security, and capacity planning.
- Knowledge of cloud database platforms such as Azure SQL Database, Amazon RDS, or Google Cloud SQL is an advantage.
- Familiarity with ETL processes, database automation using PowerShell or SQL Server Agent, and database monitoring tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to support mission-critical production systems.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
